Notice for use of air filter, precautions must be known!

The main function of the air filter is to filter impurities. It is an important accessory to ensure the efficient operation of the engine and plays a very important role. In the process of use and replacement, there are many aspects that need attention. If you have an excavator, these precautions must be known in advance to ensure that the excavator works more efficiently and healthily.

1. Gently take out the dirty filter element from the housing, and do not knock the filter housing.

Knocking on the filter element to the extent that it can knock off the dust will damage the filter element and make your engine lose its due protection. Moreover, knocking can not remove the dust embedded in the filter element. All the dirty filter elements need to be gently taken out of the shell.

For example, Donaldson radial seal technology filter element, because the filter element is closely matched on the outlet pipe to produce a sealing effect, there will be some initial resistance. When disassembling, it is necessary to move the end of the filter element forward and backward slightly to separate the seal, and then rotate the filter element and pull it straight outwards at the same time. When replacing the filter element, cover the air filter outlet to prevent any unfiltered pollutants from entering the engine.

2. The service life of filter element shall not be evaluated by observation, but based on resistance.

A filter element that looks dirty may still have a long life, while carbon pollutants may not be visible to the eyes. The solution is to replace the filter element as indicated by the differential pressure indicator. If the differential pressure indicator is damaged, it needs to be replaced with a new one.

3. Open the air filter.

The open air filter will cause dust to enter the engine directly. In the process of replacing the filter element, the air inlet of the engine must be protected, otherwise the pollutants will enter, causing damage to the engine.
